STEVE SANE, blacksmith

A native of Rutherford County, born in 1959. Steve was first interested in iron work when he made a Christmas gift for his mother. That was the first taste of metal smithing and it grew form there. A self taught blacksmith, learning from reading books and trail and error, Steve has developed a passion for the art. Working out of a small shop next to his house, sometimes using copper with wrought iron, he has created beautiful pieces that he hopes people will find attractive. A father of four, grandfather of two, Steve still lives in Greenhill with his wife and youngest son.
