Nancy Winker was born in Chapel Hill, NC where she began her artistic career at age four with art lessons from her mom. She began selling her work in high school, and continued her formal art training in college while pursuing a BS degree in Biology. Since then, she has juggled a medical career, marriage and motherhood with her artistic pursuits.

Nancy prefers to paint in oils, but also enjoys drawing and her latest endeavor as a children’s book illustrator. Her painting is usually vibrant landscape, still life or portrait work. She resides with her family in Rutherfordton, NC.
