Holly Ann Sailors is currently pursueing her BFA in Painting from East Carolina University in Greenville Nc. Born and raised in Cliffside Nc, she spent most of her time drawing and painting even as a child. She attended Annette's School of Art from 1994 to 2005. Annette Francis, has been a great influence and motivation in her work.

Holly has attended Savannah College of Art and Design for summer sessions in Oil Painting and Still life Drawings. Holly has shown work in galleries in North and South Carolina. She has shown in many juried shows and is a Vice President of the Visual Arts Forum of East Carolina University and Treasurer for the East Carolina Painting Guild.

Her work is currently being shown at the Painter's Gap Gallery in Rutherfordton, NC.

Most of her work is an experimentation of collage and painting. A facination with the Ornamental and decorative images is apparent through her work. Researching older works from the classical to the victorian helps her create a new perspective on the classical approach and ideas behind art. Every image or technique you use in your art carries ideas behind it. Holly feels a responsibility as an artist to portray ideas beneficial to society.

"Art is not the time I take to sit down and paint, it's the time I take to look at the world and connect it." -Holly Ann Sailors
