Fran Dunphy began painting in high school and then went on to follow other careers. Moving to North Carolina began to stir up her interest in putting the beauty of surrounding areas on canvas. Fran enjoys painting all types of subject matters including still life, but landscapes remain her favorites. She hopes her paintings can bring the wondrous beauty of nature and the mountains to those who cannot be here to see it.

Fran is a member of Rutherford County Visual Artists Guild in Rutherfordton, North Carolina and Lake Lure Artists in Lake Lure, North Carolina. Her paintings can be found on display at Isothermal Community College during scheduled art shows.
