A native of western North Carolina, Grant has been a life long woodworker and woodturner.  Focusing on woodturning for the last 20 years, he turns a variety of pieces with hollow forms being a specialty.

Utilizing local hard woods with an occasional exotic, Grant emphasizes grain, color, texture and figure in the wood. Making the best of the wood’s beauty in a well turned vessel is the goal.

Items are finished with polyurethane varnish.  The finish is durable, water resistant and food safe.  It can always be renewed with a light coat of wax.
