Open Drawing Studio
Every Thursday from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Bring a bag lunch and your paper and pastels, pencils, charcoal or other drawing materials. Supplies are available for purchase at gallery. Portrait artist Nikki Hicks will give individual instruction. All skill levels welcome. Fee: $40 for 4 sessions (which need not be consecutive). Tuesdays, 10AM to 1PM, call for dates. The class will concentrate on technique and color shading. Bring a photo of something you wish to paint. Students will supply their own paints, brushes and paper, supplies are available at gallery for purchase. Call for list of supplies required. Class $40. Art for Teens
Wednesdays March 3 -24, to 5:30 pm, additional follow-up classes will be schedules based on student interest. This is an introductory class for teens 12 and up who are serious about art. Color theory, color mixing, brushwork, drawing and other other basic techniques will be taught. Materials will be provied until purchases are made. Some supplies are available for purchase at the Center. Bring roll of paper towels and glass jar with screw-tight lid. Cost of class $48. Instructor--Kay Latham (Kay teaches beginning and intermediate oil painting and has previously taught at ICC.)
Stained Glass
Begins April 24 for 4 Saturdays. (see application for complete list of dates). Limit 8 to a class. 3 and 4 hours session. You will create a beautiful custom cut glass panel. The class will cover the basic steps and process on how to make a copper foiled stained glass panel for you to take home. Cost of class $200 and includes all materials. (For details, see application.) Instructor--Brenda Holt (Brenda has a studio in Charlotte and Bostic, NC. She has been teleching stained glass since 2006.)
