We are very excited about our new programs, classes and artists! 2016 is looking to be great year for the Rutherford County Artists Guild and we hope you will join us in our efforts to preserve and promote art in Rutherford County.
2016 Topic Contest Series
This show is in partnership with the Town of Rutherfordton to create awareness around their recycling program while also dressing up the downtown area. The idea…to bring the town’s recycling bins to life!
Artists will receive a primed recycling trash can as their canvas. The challenge in this contest is to create something that is both artistic and contains the recycling symbol. Although the entire project does not have to be recycling focused, the recycling symbol has to appear in a prominent place on the artwork so that it is apparent the can is for recycling and not trash. Sign up today by visiting the Visual Arts Center in downtown Rutherfordton or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
